Objective

Owns a fundamental insurance estimation software system. To run smoothly and without faults and disruptions, their new mission-critical microservices-based system needed to be connected with several external solutions. Also wanted to reduce time-to-value while maintaining excellent quality.

Scrum approach was used, and testing occurred concurrently with development. To meet these project requirements and the Customer's demand for timely and high-quality releases, deployed integrated Manual and Automated Testing techniques. The majority of testing was automated, manual tests were used to provide developers with timely responses following hotfixes.

 
 

ENGINEER EXPERIENCE

Solution Scope Included

  • Used Protractor was to create the automated testing environment.
  • Performed Functional testing with over 900 test cases covering functional requirements. Integration testing to check microservices APIs and integrations with external systems). Localization testing was used to validate global operations in terms of legislation, currency fluctuations,etc
  • Tested both the UI and API levels. Latter aided in shifting testing earlier in the development cycle and geared to quick Scrum releases.
  • Added DevOps, and built (CI) pipeline and performed continuous testing. This aided in the faster and more efficient verification of new software components while maintaining software quality. Handled the challenging task with ease and achieved greater than 95 percent test coverage. There were no issues discovered during post-development, pre-release end user acceptance testing.
